How/where to Vote in Ward 7

1. Make sure you're on the voters' list

The quickest way to save time is to confirm you're on the voters' list before you vote. Check your details, update them, or add yourself using the Town of Oakville's tool.

New homes across Ward 7 mean some residents may be missing from the list. If you've recently moved to Ward 7, just turned 18, or recently became a Canadian citizen and aren't on the list, you can still be added. Contact the Town Clerk's office at 905-815-6015, or update your information in person when you vote by bringing proper identification.

It only takes a minute to check, and it means no delays when you go to vote.

2. Know where and when to vote

On voting day (Monday, October 26), you can vote at any of the following voting locations in Ward 7, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

• - Sixteen Mile Sports Complex - 3070 Neyagawa Boulevard
• - Oodenawi Public School - 385 Sixteen Mile Drive
• - St. Gregory the Great Catholic Elementary School - 138 Sixteen Mile Drive
• - Dr. David R. Williams Public School - 3199 Post Road
• - St. Cecilia Catholic Elementary School - 420 Threshing Mill Blvd

Advance voting runs October 7–10 and October 13–18. It is a convenient option if you can't make it on election day, and any eligible voter can vote at any advance voting location townwide.

Oakville Town Hall is open every advance voting day, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (until 8:00 p.m. on October 14):

Community locations are open on October 10, 14 and 17 only, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (until 8:00 p.m. on October 14):

• Glen Abbey Community Centre - 1415 Third Line
• Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre - 325 Reynolds Street
• Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre - 2302 Bridge Road
• River Oaks Community Centre - 2400 Sixth Line
• Sir John Colborne Recreation Centre for Seniors - 1565 Old Lakeshore Road West
• Sixteen Mile Sports Complex - 3070 Neyagawa Boulevard

The voting locations are set by the Town. You can find the confirmed lists and your wards' assigned locations at the Town's official election site: oakville.ca.

3. Bring acceptable ID

Bring identification when you go to vote. The most common forms the Town of Oakville lists are an Ontario driver's licence, an Ontario photo card, a current utility bill, a current bank or credit card statement, and a current insurance policy.

An election official will verify your identification at the voting location. If you need to be added to the voters' list or update your information when you vote, you will also need to show ID.

4. Who can vote?

You can vote in the Town of Oakville municipal election if, on voting day, you are a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of Oakville (or an owner or tenant of property in Oakville, or the spouse of such an owner or tenant), and not otherwise prohibited from voting.
